Creating a League or Tournament

If your plan allows hosting, your dashboard shows Create a league and Create a tournament actions. Each one opens a step-by-step builder that walks you through everything the event needs before it goes live.

The five steps

1. Basics. Name your event, and add an optional season label or subtitle. Choose whether it's public (discoverable by other golfers nearby) or private (invite-only).

2. Course & tees. Search for the course and pick the tees you'll play. If your event moves between courses over the season, flip on "plays across multiple courses" and add each one — you'll assign a course to each round later, and scores and course handicaps automatically use whichever course that round is actually played on.

Can't find your course? After the search (and the wider deep search) comes up empty, there's a "Still can't find it? Request this course" link that opens a support request with the course name already filled in, so it can get added.

3. Schedule. For a league, pick the day of week, tee time, start date, number of weeks, and whether you're playing 9 or 18 holes. For a tournament, pick the first day, the length (1–4 days), the start format (tee times or a shotgun start), and the tee-off times.

4. Format & scoring. Pick your scoring format — Stroke Play, Stableford, Match Play, Skins, Blind Draw, or the specialized Ryder Cup format — and tune its settings: grouping, handicaps, standings, and everything else specific to that format. 5. Review & launch. Check the summary and create the event. You land straight on the new event's page, ready to build your roster.

Reuse a previous event

If you've run an event before, the builder offers to reuse it — same format, same course and tees, same schedule shape — and prepopulates every step so you're only adjusting what's actually different this season, instead of filling out a blank form again.
